$100 for the Next 100 Social Enterprises

by NESsT

As we celebrate Social Enterprise Day as a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, I’m reminded of the remarkable resilience and ingenuity of the social entrepreneurs NESsT has supported since 1997. These entrepreneurs are building dignified livelihoods, strengthening local economies, and driving climate solutions across South America and Central and Eastern Europe, despite the rapid defunding of traditional partners like USAID. Private leadership is at a pivotal moment to ensure their work continues to grow. At this global moment, we can rise together to address their needs.

$100 for the Next 100 Social Enterprises

This week, as the world recognizes the power of entrepreneurship to transform communities, NESsT is celebrating its robust portfolio of 119 high-impact social enterprises and launching a bold campaign: $100 from each supporter will help us on our journey to bring the next 100 social enterprises into the NESsT portfolio.

These are enterprises led by mission-driven entrepreneurs creating jobs for rural and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, refugees, people with disabilities, and workers living in vulnerable conditions. They are building climate resilience, protecting ecosystems, and strengthening local economies from the inside out.

And they can’t do it alone.

NESsT’s model of providing patient capital, hands-on mentorship, and long-term support helps social enterprises grow stronger, more sustainable, and more impactful. Expanding this model to the next 100 social enterprises means expanding opportunities for thousands of families and protecting critical ecosystems at a time when both are urgently needed.
